Romantics is for the dreamers from past, present and future generations.

Our mission is to build a lasting connection with the community, create a safe space for all and to keep dreams fueled with Romantics coffee in hand.

We are Libby and Victor, husband and wife business owners and you guessed it, hopeless romantics. We've had this recurring daydream to create a coffee brand and roasts of our own for about 10 years now. So much so, our daughters have also joined in on our dream and it's become a family effort to make life changes to see our dream turn into a reality.

Libby's childhood took place in multiple countries. Because of that, it was hard to find a place to belong. The constant throughout her life was coffee. Coffee was brewed no matter the time of day in their home and some of the best conversations were had. Her parents always had the espresso pot on the stove ready to go. To this day the pot has it's permanent place on the stovetop. Even being so young, Libby sat with a cup of coffee (of course at that time, with lots of milk and sugar) and was included with the adults. Sometimes grandparents, extended family, guests they were hosting from overseas or even from the States (when she lived overseas). Libby was invited to join the conversation with a mug in hand. That meant the world to her, whether they knew it or not.

We got married and planted our own roots in San Diego when we began our family about 13 years ago. Victor is from San Diego, born and raised. Thanks to him, Libby was introduced to all of the need-to-know neighborhoods for both tacos and coffee. 

We're ready to share our vision with the community and see where it takes us.
